Schools
Set a standard of health for years to come!
By participating in the Steps for Schools challenge, your elementary school is playing a vital role in shaping the lives of the children and families who participate. The goal is to host an annual challenge that uses friendly competition to remind students of the importance of regular physical exercise.
Participating schools will be recognized as community leaders on Ventura County Public Health's online portals. The winning school (the school with the most steps per participant) will receive public recognition through Ventura County's media outlets for its leadership and dedication to the health and well being of its students. Participating students will receive prizes from Blenders in the Grass if their classroom wins. And, one participating student will be randomly chosen to win a bike! Join Ventura County Public Health, as together we encourage our youth to live active, healthy lives.
