Teachers
Host Steps for Schools in your classroom!
Steps for Schools is an opportunity to promote healthy lifestyles to your students. This competition is a classroom-based activity, where students fill out Activity Logs that can distributed as a homework assignment or completed during class time. On these Activity Logs, students enter the time they spend being active: recess, classroom fitness activities, walks after schools, etc.
The main responsibilities of a teacher include familiarizing yourself with the details of the Steps for Schools competition as well as distributing the Activity Logs and Info Sheets to and collecting the Activity logs from your students.
One participating student will be randomly chosen to win a new bike! The classroom with the most steps per participant will win gift cards from Blenders in the Grass. The school with the most steps per participant will receive public recognition.
